We are currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to support our busy Finance team by proactively managing customer payments, ensuring efficient debt recovery to continually enhance RoSPA’s cash flow.

We are currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to support our busy Finance team by proactively managing customer payments, ensuring efficient debt recovery to continually enhance RoSPA’s cash flow. Key responsibilities in the role include minimising outstanding debt by facilitating payments, escalating problem debts for court claims, maintaining records of credit control activities, working with our outsource provider to manage Direct Debits and providing aged debtor reports to management. In addition, the Accounts Assistant will work with the Sales and Purchase Ledger Controllers and provide cover as required, assisting with receipt postings, taking credit card payments and making collaborate process improvements.
This is a challenging role that requires excellent communication and outstanding customer service skills. The successful candidate will be a problem solver who is able to work independently and manage their own workload to a monthly timetable, as well as being a team player. The ideal candidate will be computer literate and have transferrable office experience, demonstrable communication skills, an excellent telephone manner and be able to problem solve independantly. This role would potentially suit someone wanting to commence or continue studying for a recognised accounting qualification.
