Our client are an established engineering consultancy and due to steady growth, they are seeking the services of a Transport Planner in their Cambridge office. Your role will be to provide a technical support role to Associate and Directors in delivering a range of our current and future development planning projects in such as residential, education, energy, community, health etc) and where relevant to assist in the delivery of design and analysis of highway schemes.
Working within a small team of four but within a larger multidisciplinary office, the ideal is something like 3-5 years’ experience but certainly keen to speak to others outwith this, either above or below.
So what do we need?
As many as possible of the following:
Suitably qualified in Civil Engineering, Transport Planning or another relevant subject
IT literate with sound analytical ability, written and verbal communication skills
A good understanding of appropriate design software packages including AutoCAD and Autotrack.
Experience in the preparation of Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and Highways Reports
Good working knowledge of industry standard software (ie TRICS, Linsig, Junctions 9 including ARCADY and PICADY, or similar)
An understanding of S278/S38 highway design
Possess sound knowledge of current legislation
Full UK driving licence
