Repairs Delivery Manager - Inside IR35 - 3-6 month contract

Day rate: £400/day

Harvey Nash are recruiting for a Repairs Delivery Manager for a public sector client. This role will be mainly on-site near Glasgow, with flexibility for a small amount of home working.

The rate for this role is £400/day, inside IR35. Role will require candidates hold the Right to Work in the UK and a Basic Disclosure Scotland Certificate.

This role will involve managing the delivery of a housing repair and maintenance service, including responsive repairs, planned maintenance, legislative compliance programmes and void repairs.

Key duties include:

  • Operationally responsible to lead, develop, improve and manage the Council's repairs and maintenance service, including all housing repairs and void property management
  • Responsible for the management of external contractors who deliver repair services on behalf of Housing Services
  • Ensure the repairs service is delivered in a manner consistent with the requirements of auditors and Scottish Housing Regulator and adheres to necessary legislation
  • In Partnership with the Housing Services Manager (Property) and Corporate Procurement, ensure all sub-contractor and material costs are purchased to achieve best value.
  • Responsible for assuring the quality and availability of management information to inform the delivery of the service, including meeting statutory and local targets
  • Responsible for building effective relationships at all levels both within Housing Services, with other services, customers and partner organisations including external contractors
  • Ensure compliance with the Information Governance Framework within their work area, providing an escalation for risks and issues around information management

Essential Skills

  • HND or equivalent in relevant discipline
  • Significant professional experience within a local authority or RSL in 4 or more of the following:
    • Technical Management
    • Property Maintenance
    • Performance management
    • Corporate parenting
    • Financial Business planning
  • Experience of managing and monitoring programmes of works and staff teams
  • Experience of financial management of budgets, budget formulation, financial planning, monitoring and control.
  • Knowledge of housing technical related legislation
  • Successful track record of engaging effectively with others and building productive partnerships with employee representatives, key stakeholders, Government, other public sector bodies and other statutory authorities
