Key Account Manager

Our client is a global company who specialize in the creation of ‘sensational surfaces’ who pride themselves with delivering exceptional quality, exquisite design, excellent value and first-class customer care.

We are looking for a Key Account Manager to deliver incremental business within an established distribution network whilst seeking new business opportunities. As a team member the role is expected to positively engage, constructively contribute and support the successful delivery of sales targets and business goals.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Manage the relationship with Key Distributor partners at local branch level in geographically dispersed locations in the South, South East and Midlands region

Business Development- delivery of incremental and new business revenue in line with company budgets

Responsibility for commercials and pricing, relationship management, managing logistics and deliveries, marketing and development, market analysis, internal reporting and competitor information gathering

Drive existing product sales including overall performance management, understanding customer and quality issues

Create and deliver product training across the customer network as required

Continually develop in depth technical knowledge of product and marketplace

Gain maximum account penetration and distribution of new products

Knowledge and Experience

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work and deliver results under pressure and to deadlines

High level of attention to detail

Good analytical skills

Good commercial awareness, understanding key business measures

Well organized and highly motivated

Excellent people and management skills with strong communication skills

Awareness, knowledge and understanding of KBB sector would be advantageous but not mandatory

Excellent presentation, negotiation and selling skills

Computer Literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Ability to think strategically and make sound commercial decisions

An understanding of marketing principles and ab ability to interpret market analysis

The role does involve national travel daily with expectations of staying away overnight on occasions.
