Our client, based in Farnborough is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain supplier’s quality performance

• Drive supplier quality management in line with company control procedures, and relevant regulatory standards e.g., AS/EN 9100

General:

• Ensure best practice is adopted within the supply chain to ensure highest levels of product integrity

• Drive, lead and train suppliers on proper completion of 8Ds through containment, root cause analysis, corrective and preventative action

• Improve supplier Quality KPIs by driving improvement plans with suppliers

• Manage supplier audits and approval process

• Analyse, track and report nonconformities and corrective actions on supplier rejects

• Generate and report supplier KPIs

• Manage and maintain quality assurance of supplier source change process

• Train suppliers and review First Article Inspection reports to AS9102

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

• Degree in electromechanical engineering or equivalent professional qualification/experience

• Proven experience background in Supplier Quality or in a similar role in aerospace or other electromechanical environment

• Good working knowledge of 8D or DMAIC

• Experience in FMEA

• Experience with First Article Inspection Reports to AS9102

• Good technical engineering knowledge and ability to read engineering drawings

• Good communication (oral & written)

• Ability to lead supplier improvement projects

Desirable:

• Knowledge of aerospace quality management system requirements

• Understanding of key aerospace Quality Standards such as AS/EN 9100 and NADCAP

• Experience in supplier Audits or relevant auditing experience

• Knowledge of SPC

• Experience in PPAP
