Controls Engineers Senior & Engineer Level

Liaise with the Senior Project Engineer at all stages of the design through to the build, test and incorporate relevant mechanical, electrical, robotic and vision inputs into the software development
Assist the project planning and participate in design reviews
Be able to write specification documentation for a system when required
Prepare all PLC, HMI and associated software/documentation for the project
Coding from scratch, able to work from/produce FDS
Communicate with the Project Manager of any foreseeable delays with the software design and commissioning of the system
You will have proven experience of control systems design and software design principles
Excellent working knowledge of all standards and regulations
Commission projects on customer sites when required (UK wide)
Experience with using Siemens, Mitsubishi and other automation hardware and design packages
Experience with Siemens and/or Mitsubishi PLCs (Rockwell, Schneider advantageous)
Experience in bespoke machine design and commissioning
Cognex, Keyence vision system knowledge advantageous
Fanuc, Mitsubishi, ABB robot system programming skills advantageous
Excellent communication skills
In return this prestigious company offers a company pension, 24 days holiday, use of a pool car when travelling to meet clients and flexible working hours, with core office time being 09:30 - 16:00, a total of 37.5 hour working week. Occasional weekend and overtime will be required, which will paid at time and a half or double time.
This role is commutable from Horsham, Billinghurst, Crawley, Petworth, Mansfield, Polegate and Heathfield.
