You'll be working for a strong bridges and structures team. With a healthy workload ranges from feasibility studies to scheme designs, detailed designs, assessments, inspections, construction support and management services on a wide range of structures.
Working on key schemes such as: CAFA rail bridge inspection and assessment of structures. Working with Network Rail and UK contractors on key D&B schemes. Design and Assessment work on Huntington and Werrington station.
As a Bridge Engineer you will have the following daily responsibilities:
Taking a leading role in the design, inspection or assessment of major civil engineering structures.
Preparing designs with limited supervision from a professionally qualified engineer.
Assisting with the commercial and financial control of your project.
Supervising graduate engineers and technicians.
Planning and project management.
Preparing, implementing and assessing contract documents.
Production of technical reports and documents.
Computer analysis techniques.
Demonstrable experience delivering to quality, time and budget, with some previous experience of project management.
Exposure to clients at both national and local level.
Ability to manage project Health and Safety responsibilities including compliance with CDM legislation.
Engineering Degree or equivalent allowing you to immediately meet the academic requirements of a Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with ICE, along with a minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience, preferably on an ICE training scheme.
