Reporting to: Site Manager
The main purpose of this senior management role is to drive the Continuous Improvement culture and activities across our operation, enhancing operational performance by deploying a Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
The CI Co-ordinator leads the development of local CI capability, delivering results and performance measures through people and data driven metrics and activities.
Playing a major role in deploying of various lean tools and techniques, this role will embed culture and mindset of operational excellence across the manufacturing site. Other aspects of the role include:
•Developing the CI strategy for the Chippenham Site in conjunction with the Site Manager and deploy improvement plans.
•Facilitate Project Selection Workshops, owning and administering the CI project pipeline.
•Undertake DMAIC projects to address significant, complex issues.
•Train employees in CI tools and techniques
•Coaching and mentoring the local team to carry out improvement projects and events.
•Manage and coordinate the monthly reporting of the impact from the CI Projects activity
Knowledge and Skills:
The Ideal candidate will hold LSS Black Belt certification (or equivalent) with a proven experience of delivering DMAIC projects within a manufacturing environment. A strong data manipulation experience through Microsoft packages will be advantageous within the Wavin environment.
Candidates will have ability to engage internal and external stakeholders at all levels within a changing environment.
Working positively within a small group, the position holder will be self-motivated and be able to develop good working relationships with all members of the team whilst maintaining a capability to challenge the current state operation
