MSS Executive Search are currently working with a leading environmental business, looking to expand their successful team and recruit an experienced National Account Manager.

The main purpose of the role will be to manage a portfolio of key accounts with a focus on commercial bulk fuel infrastructure. The successful post holder will have experience in commercial sales into terminals, refineries, fuel pipeline installations, tank farms or bulk fuel installations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

* Manage large company accounts for the company

* Identify, establish and develop client relationships at a senior level within assigned accounts c. 10 large key accounts

* Work with key client contacts to understand each client’s business strategy and key business needs in order to identify potential sales opportunities

* Network within national accounts to secure other business opportunities

* Ensure a direct relationship with clients. Where they need assistance within the business, provide the client with the appropriate contact within the business that can help

* Monitor incoming jobs and ensure these are fulfilled according to the terms and conditions set out in their contract

* Regular (weekly / monthly) meetings to be held with senior stakeholders to report on accounts and provide updates accordingly

* Investigate and resolve any queries and issues raised by the client

* Hold business reviews and site visits periodically to assess potential opportunities for cross-selling

Person Specification:

* Experience in developing long term profitable relationships, delivering revenue targets and profit growth from UK wide clients

* Managing and growing key accounts; increase sales in the product portfolio with existing clients. Revenue client base c £4m

* Minimum five years sales and engineering experience within the industry

* Familiar with inspection and testing regimes within the industry i.e. API, EEMUA

* Understanding of legislation and environmental management

* Understanding of containment infrastructure

* Understanding of coatings within the fuel industry

* Experience of planning, directing, coordinating and evaluating assigned account management plans

* Have previous experience working within consultative selling and value-add sales environments

* Strong technical experience and able to present technical solutions

* Ideally degree qualified
