I am actively recruiting on behalf of my reputable and forward thinking client for a Payroll Coordinator to work on a full time and permanent basis.

The purpose of the role is to provide high quality and professional payroll and Administrative services. The Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for pension service, compliance with legislation, best practise, agreed service standards and corporate governance.


Assist with the timely and accurate production of monthly and weekly payrolls

Ensure effective control/compliance is maintained in the management of payroll and pensions, including signatures/ approvals for all payments made. Escalate any concerns to the HR Manager.

Run end to end payroll with comprehensive checklist.

Assist to manage the delivery of pension scheme services.

Develop a set of standard operating processes for the day-to-day payroll and pension’s management.

Maintain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of al all legislative aspects of pay and pensions.

Answer incoming telephone calls.

Record any issues on the Payroll and Pensions Issues log and agree actions etc. with the HR Manager.

To provide HR & Payroll statistics to the CFO.

Take responsibility for P11D and PSA Reporting & HMRC Payment.

Provide the sickness and absence reporting.

Provide any ad-hoc reports requested by Directors or Managers.

The knowledge, training, Qualifications and experience required to do the job are as below:

The post-holder should have good interpersonal skills, being understanding and approachable to colleagues, visitors and providers.

The post-holder is required to be confident with computer systems and have well-developed keyboard skills, with proficiency in Payroll Electronic Database Systems, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

The post-holder is required to work in a well-organised and professional manner to meet the demands of the work, maintaining concentration and accuracy. A ‘can do’ approach is a must.

Qualified to GSCE A-C level or equivalent in English and Math.
