Purpose of Job:
Maintain cashbook and related income records
Oversee debt monitoring
Regular reconciliation of all tills / oversight of this process.
Itemised banking of monies.
Completion of relevant paperwork (E4s).
Posting of E4s and receipts against customer accounts to the finance system.
Maintenance of subsidiary income records in respect of particular income headings.
Liaison with bank in respect of all banking.
Oversee the processing of Sales Invoices.
Debt collection via telephone contact and computerised collection system.
Maintenance of supporting records and recommended write off list.
Generation of automatic and manual BACS payments.
Maintenance and recording of non-purchase ledger payments.
Control of cancelled cheques.
Completion of payment logs.
Travel and Childcare payments.
Maintenance of analysed cashbook.
Reconciliation of cashbook with bank statements and general ledger.
Maintenance of petty cash records.
Reconciliation of petty cash.
To liaise with relevant Finance and Personnel team members in respect of:
Payment of casual employees.
Payment of statutory and other payroll payments.
Payment of cash advances.
Preparation of monthly payroll journal and entry.
Ensure the integrity of the monthly payroll system and ensure it is processed in a timely and accurate manner.
Coding and balancing of monthly payroll journal
Debt monitoring and follow up.
Liaison with solicitors over debts placed in their hands for collection.
Maintenance of currency records.
Arrangement of currency with bank.
To provide support to the Assistant Finance Manager in the daily control of tasks within the Cash Office and co-ordinate staff workloads.
To perform such other duties commensurate with the grade of the post as required by the Finance Manager / Director of Finance and Quality
