Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Training and Competency Co-ordinator, based in Westhill, Aberdeenshire.

Willingness to travel offshore to provide support.

Responsibilities will include:

Support in the day to day maintenance and administration of all competency programmes

Develop effective relationships with assessors, candidates and key competence focal points within the business.

Co-ordinate the development and implementation of Assessment Standards with technical focal points. Ensure that all candidates work to the most recent and up to date Assessment standard for their role.

Monitor Candidate to Assessor relationships and ratios.

Monitor Verifiers activity workload and ratios to assessors.

Ongoing delivery of Candidate Inductions

Development and maintenance of reporting mechanisms for training.

Handle unique training course requirements, particularly the management of additional roles and see them through completion.

Management of training for additional roles including emergency response, safety representatives, first aiders.

Management and administration of onshore training.

Assist with the training mailbox during busy periods and annual leave

Qualifications / Training

Preferred

CIPD, or equivalent HR related degree.

BOSIET.

Experience/Knowledge/Skills

Essential

Previous experience in training and competence co-ordination in the UK oil and gas industry.

Proven ability to work effectively within a team and on own initiative.

Practical knowledge and understanding of general Learning and Development practices.

Experience of working closely with management in the provision of Learning and Development services and support.

IT literate: HR database, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to intermediate level.

Ability to create reports and modify spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel, using complex formulas, conditional formatting, and pivot tables for example.

Preferred

Knowledge of the ORACLE HRMS suite of programmes.
