Test Engineer

A highly successful 3D medical imaging company providing patient positioning and monitoring solutions. Radiotherapy is used to treat a wide range of cancer patients. Accurate positioning of the patient before each treatment and the monitoring of any motion throughout radiation delivery are required to ensure that the planned dose is correctly targeted on the tumour. The company has developed a revolutionary, market leading solution to the problems of patient setup and motion management.

Role Overview:

Superb opportunity for an excellent Test Development Engineer to join this rapidly growing, global radiotherapy medical device manufacturer headquartered in London. As a Test Engineer you will join a team of friendly, highly qualified and accomplished professionals and have an opportunity to make a real difference.

Test Engineer Responsibilities:

" Review the software requirements and get clarifications on doubts

" Understand the software under test and any software related to it

" Create test cases based on the requirements and other documents

" Procure or create test data required for testing

" Set up the required test environment (hardware, software and network)

" Automate tests and process

" Test software releases by executing assigned tests manual and automated

" Log defects on defect management tool

" Create test logs

" Report test results

" Provide clarification for the reassigned bugs (for example, when a bug report is returned as not reproducible)

" Verify defect fixes

" Update test cases based on change of design

" Provide inputs to improve the test process

" Report work progress and any problems faced to the Test Lead of Manager as required

" Support the team with any other tasks as required

The Test Engineer Candidate will need to have -

" 2-4 years' experience on test automation (in C#, Python, Java etc)

" Candidate must have a degree in engineering

" Medical device or other heavily process driven testing background would be highly advantageous.

" Testing of embedded software would be highly advantageous.

" Experienced in working in agile environment.

" Experienced in using test management tool such as TFS, Quality Centre/ALM, SpiraTest, practices.

" Experience of Software Automated Tool highly advantageous.

" Experience in using defect management tool such as Jira etc.

" Experienced in maintaining requirement traceability metrics

" Experienced in generating defect and test execution reports

" Experienced in exploratory testing and eye for identifying defects

" ISTQB Certification would be advantageous.
