Through offering innovative and sustainable solutions to the global power and energy market, they are continuing to grow and develop the services and technologies delivered to customer both in the UK and internationally. This division of the business, specialises in power grid automation and control solutions for the power transmission and distribution markets. They are now looking to diversify and drive sales into new sectors with a big focus on renewables including solar and wind markets across the UK & Ireland.
As Grid Automation Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving the sale of Automation Solutions across the UK Transmission & Distribution market. The solutions portfolio includes Protection & Control, RTU’s, SCADA or DMS alongside the associated software and communications products used within a Substation or within Energy Management.
Whilst working from home, you will target clients across the UK Grid Market, identifying, developing and winning business and orders with customers within DNO’s, Renewables, Smart Grid, Infrastructure, Transportation and Large Industrial sites.
The successful candidate will have a strong technical knowledge within Substation Automation-based technologies, alongside proven experience of driving and winning orders within either energy, grid, infrastructure, DNO’s, rail or similar markets. Although not essential, the below skills and experience would be beneficial:
• HND/ Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical knowledge
• Successful previous experience as a Sales Manager selling susbtation automation-based solutions to the UK Grid.
• Knowledge and experience of working in Power Grids, Transmission & Distribution markets.
• A strong technical knowledge of substation automation solutions including Protection & Control, RTU’s, SCADA or DMS based systems.
• Knowledge of key market players, market dynamics with a results-focused approach to sales
