Our client is a leading independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in Sheffield, they are looking to appoint an Accounts Semi Senior to join the firms Corporate Services Division.
The firm support a wide range of business, from growing smaller owner managed businesses through to larger groups of companies, providing full accounting and business advisory support services. The business will provide the successful individual an opportunity to develop their accounts skills within all areas, this will include Management and Statutory Accounting, Cloud Accounting, Audit and tax.
The successful individual will have already developed 3 plus years experience working for a firm of accountants and looking for an opportunity to take their career to the next level.
Duties and Responsibilities
The role of Accounts Semi Senior will support one of the Corporate Service Manager and will assist in the following:
* Prepare statutory accounts for mainly small to medium sized limited companies
* Prepare corporation tax computations
* Assist with client audits from planning through to completion (no experience necessary as full training will be provided)
* Preparation of Management Accounts
* Client Bookkeeping - Use of Sage, Xero and other popular accounting packages
* Communicate effectively with clients on specific issues
* Development of advisory skills
Skills and Qualities
To be considered for this position the successful candidate will be part qualified ACCA or qualified AAT with at least 3 years of experience working within a firm of accountants, applications are also encouraged for individuals who have qualified by experience and have decided not to pursue the formal qualification route.
You will have developed experience of preparing statutory accounts and tax computation with little supervision and have a good understanding of Sage Line 50 and/or Xero Accounting Software.
