Purchase Ledger Administrator

We are looking for either a Trainee Purchase Ledger Administrator, this would suit someone looking to get into finance, the salary for the Trainee would be £15,000 - £18,000.
Or, there is an opportunity for a Purchase Ledger Administrator with solid experience. Salary £18,000 - £21,000.
This is a fulltime permanent role – Monday – Friday 08:00 – 17:00
· Using our Accounting system (Exchequer) to register and process invoices adhering to internal procedures and policies
· Ensuring all invoices follow the appropriate authorisation process prior to payment
· Verifying supplier invoices/statements against internal records (i.e. spreadsheets and/or accounting system).
· Working within integrated traffic management systems (GTS / Truckcom) to extract job information from the systems for review / reporting
· Assisting with reporting in Excel etc., including accurate input into spreadsheets
· Dealing with supplier queries:
· Handling telephone and emailed queries/correspondence and responding within stipulated timeframes
· Creating query files within Outlook and Excel - maintaining, progressing and closing these files as appropriate
· Reporting all outstanding queries on a weekly basis.
· Document Management systems - Scanning supplier documentation and accurately indexing within the system for easy retrieval
· Providing cover for colleagues as and when required
