Are you managing a technical team but unable to make a real difference? This is an opportunity to join an ambitious and fast-growing business and be part of the senior management team.

Our client has grown significantly over the last few years and they are now looking for an experienced, ambitious and enthusiastic IT Support Manager to join the team to help take the business forward.

Salary: Circa £40k per annum, negotiable dependent on experience

Location: Speke, Liverpool (L24)

This role involves managing a team of Engineers along with a Team Lead, to successfully provide outsourced IT support to a range of clients, focusing on creating the best customer experience possible.

You will report to the Service Delivery Manager and work closely with the owner/MD to shape and drive the support department. You will be expected to be self-driven, want to take ownership and responsibility, and be able to operate for substantial periods without supervision. You will have excellent communication skills, a proven track record of leading a successful support team function in the past.

You will be liaising with clients, managing expectations and handling escalated support issues to ensure total client satisfaction, ensuring the growing support team remain motivated and high staff retention continues, as well as ensuring a culture of Continuous Improvement is championed throughout the team.

Our ideal applicant will have/be;

Previous experience of managing a team of technical/IT professionals in the past

An influential manager and natural leader who can motivate and get the best out of a technical team and wants to take responsibility.

People oriented with an obsession for customer service and delivery who is committed to delivering results.

Excellent with your organizational and multi-tasking skills

A naturally analytical and problem-solving person who is able to learn on the fly

Able to provide evidence of self-development/self-learning and keen to better yourself through constant learning and questioning.

Any technical knowledge of the following would be desirable but not essential; Microsoft Windows Servers, General PC and laptop troubleshooting, Hardware and software experience together with experience of peripherals and accessories, installation, configuration and maintenance of Microsoft Windows XP and above, TCPIP / Routers / VPN / Firewalls, Office 365/POP/SMTP mail etc.

A confident communicator (including active listening ability) with an excellent telephone manner

Self-motivated and keen to help and assist others

Enthusiastic about technology and its use

A full, clean driving license
