Company Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their team for a six-month contract.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

1. Aircraft seating and/or aircraft interiors experience
2. Proven track of records of the project with airlines or airframe manufacturers or aircraft interior OEM's (seating is preferred)
3. Lead mechanical design team and be focal point of communication with customer and suppliers related to mechanical design aspect.
4. Develop complex design concepts and mechanisms, BOMs, detailed design of seating components and lead successful design integration to ensure customer/airframe regulatory requirements are met.
5. Accountable for checking and validating design deliverables produced within design organization throughout product life cycle.
6. Lead design reviews and ensure on time delivery of engineering milestones.
7. Responsible for applying processes and methods for product design and ensuring process compliance through change management, design optimization, DFMEA, GD&T, design for manufacture and knowledge management.
8. Design seat modules
9. Improve the maturity of the current seat modules
10. Manage the teams working on seat module designs
11. Development Work Packages
12. General Resource augmentation
