The Opportunity:

Consulting as a Site Reliability Analyst, you will be heavily involved with enabling the development of mission critical work in a GDS environment for a prominent central government client.

The role will be working on the end client side, so the ideal candidate will be able to join in person consultations at the client site based in Edinburgh.

N.B. Candidates will have or be willing to undergo a basic level of security clearance prior to starting the role.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Site Reliability Analyst or a related positions in enterprise-level environments.
• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure
• Expertise in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (IaC).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mind-set.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Work with development teams to improve services through testing and release procedures
• Participate in system design, platform management, and capacity planning
• Proactive approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement
• Analyse metrics from operating systems as well as applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding
• Support the running of the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health
