JOB DESCRIPTION

The Technical Sales Engineer/Specialist (FISHING & RE-ENTRY)

Is responsible for the delivery of the annual revenue target set down for them jointly by the UK Technical Sales Manager and Sales Director for their particular product line or groups of product lines.

The Technical Sales Specialist will be accountable for delivering an accurate revenue forecast based on operational activity and expenditure plans by their customers. This is to be incorporated into the local Account Plan.

They are responsible for providing to the UK Technical Sales Manager a detailed product line sales strategy document which is to be reviewed on a regular basis, quarterly as a minimum. This review will monitor performance and offer early indication of any potential revenue gaps that the role will be responsible for addressing accordingly.

The Technical Sales Engineer/Specialist offers support to and is supported by the Account Managers within the Sales function to ensure effective and efficient delivery of all sales processes; support for all customer engagement opportunities, opportunity management, contract handover and management of the contract review process. Quotation generation and tender response will be a key job function as will technology presentations and client entertainment.

The Technical Sales Engineer/Specialist, through liaison with Account Managers and PL Operations Manager and will qualify strategic business opportunities for introducing new technologies, products and services to both new and existing customers. The Technical Sales Specialist proactively and strategically sells Weatherford tools, technologies and services within the defined Product Line Segments being Fishing, Re-entry, Abandonment and Drilling Tools.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge and Skills:

Collaborative team player

Strong technical knowledge of the Oil & Gas industry

Management skills with ability to exercise initiative to resolve potential & actual problems

Broad knowledge of the Weatherford sales process, policies, products & services

Excellent communication skills

Advanced computer and presentation skills with experience of delivering to internal and external clients

Willingness to travel will be a requirement

Required Education:

Essential:

Bachelor Degree or equivalent or relevant experience in Fishing, Re-entry, Abandonment and Drilling Tools.

Preferred:

MBA or Msc in Engineering
