BUSINESS CONSULTANT – Bristol – 28k OTE

Overall Purpose of The Job

The primary purpose of the Business Consultant role is to uncover leads and appointment to generate new business. You’ll be working in partnership with ***** to discover, qualify and close new sales opportunities.

As Business Consultant, you’ll be working in partnership with Leading Edge Business Development Managers for the sale of high end business products and services. You’ll be expected to create qualified appointments for Business Development Managers to sit with current clients and new business clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities will include:

• Uncovering leads and appointments, qualifying client needs and working with the BDM’s to win the business • Achieving activity levels including call rates in order to meet appointment setting targets • Building a good profile in the business community and on-line • Building and maintaining an adequate funnel of Salesforce tasks and accurately forecasting results • Understanding the regulatory, fair trading and competition rules to comply with them and recognise if specialist advice is required • Good utilisation of our systems, in particular Salesforce and Artesian • Maintaining a personal development and training plan, being aware of product developments, campaigns and market changes • Working collaboratively with the manager, the direct team and the wider ‘virtual’ team • To develop a strong understanding of how customers should do business with our company, our systems, processes and workflows, managing client expectations (delivery, installation, billing)

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

The ideal candidate should have:

• Proven experience in phone sales and/or appointment setting, ideally in the IT or Telecommunications market • Effective time management, prioritisation and organisational skills that result in sustainable work life balance • Be able to sell over the phone and create high quality appointment • A comprehensive understanding of all elements of the Sales Cycle • Excellent written and verbal communication ability • Be able to work independently and proactively • Must have good numerical reasoning • Be able to present formally and demonstrate products • Must be a relationship builder, networker and team player • Must be able to handle high workloads and prioritise tasks • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook • Must be achievement oriented with a ‘can do’ attitude
