Regional Payroll Specialist - Grade 09 (Contract Role)
Seeking a Regional Payroll Specialist, responsible for administering and controlling payroll operations for 33 payrolls across 18 countries in the EMEA region. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate and timely payment to over 2,100 employees. This contract role offers the opportunity to work with leading payroll systems and gain experience in regional payroll implementations.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and oversee local payroll operations, ensuring accurate data processing by the outsourced payroll provider.
- Collaborate with People Partners, People Service Centre, Compensation, and Total Rewards teams to ensure accurate and timely employee payments.
- Ensure compliance with payroll accounting requirements, participate in GL account maintenance, and reconcile payroll accounts in coordination with Finance and business unit teams.
- Maintain payroll data integrity through regular verification and reconciliation processes.
- Handle payroll tax reporting and filing obligations with statutory authorities in relevant countries.
- Create and enforce payroll timetables for adherence by payroll providers.
- Ensure timely and compliant reporting of equity income according to regional laws.
- Support internal and external audits and address related queries, ensuring payroll compliance.
- Perform any other necessary duties related to the role.
Your Skills:
- Up to 5 years of payroll experience.
- CIPD qualification is advantageous.
- Knowledge of CloudPay and ADP is a plus.
- Exposure to Workday is a plus.
- Extensive experience in direct payroll operations within a large corporate environment.
- Proficiency in managing outsourced payroll operations.
- Strong understanding of EMEA payroll practices and requirements.
- Experience in reporting and analytics.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
This role directly impacts the EMEA region, covering 18 countries, 33 payrolls, and 2,100 employees. As a Regional Payroll Specialist, you will manage outsourced vendors, oversee payroll activities, address issues, and support various departments, including People COEs, Finance and Accounting, Tax, and Audit. This role offers the opportunity to learn new payroll processes and requirements while contributing to the merger between SPGI and IHSM.
London based, circa 1 day a week onsite.
