Relationship Manager

Office base - Stonecross (Golborne)

Site locations - West Midlands & North West

Murphy Group are now looking to recruit a Realtionship Manager/Stakeholder Advisor which is a new position that has been created due to continued success in project innovation and demand from our clients. Reporting to the Stakeholder Manager on a day to day basis, the Stakeholder Advisor will play an integral part of the project function by supporting and coordinating multiple planning/ environmental applications, the key to success in this role is building strong relationships with local authorities, agencies and local agricultural leaders to ensure effective applications. This position will be varied and challenging for the successful candidate, working on site and in the office along with attending various meetings with stakeholders and will suit a candidate who has proactive approach to their work.

Duties & responsibilities;

* Support stakeholder analysis to ensure stakeholder drivers, requirements and influences are known and taken into account throughout a project

* Support the development of a Stakeholder Engagement Plan for each project, that aligns with the Stakeholder Engagement Strategy, with support from the Project Manager and Stakeholder Manager

* Work closely with the Project Manager, to support all engagement with stakeholders including the client, local authorities, statutory and non-statutory bodies (including environment & technical organisations), industry & business, land & property, communities and other parties to establish strong working relationships

* Be a point of contact for all stakeholders for problem solving and communication between Murphy and clients

* Support any third party consultant engaged by either Murphy or our client to ensure a joined up approach to stakeholder management and/or public relations

* Support the application of all relevant consents and approvals

* Undertake stakeholder mapping and prepare communications to stakeholders and respond to stakeholder enquiries

* Work collaboratively with other members of the project team, providing briefings and support to technical teams for meetings with stakeholders

* Attend stakeholder meetings with technical team members and ensure feedback of stakeholder responses and requests to technical teams are responded to within agreed timescales

* Ensure an accurate audit trail is maintained for all stakeholder engagement and all contact/activities are recorded on stakeholder database

* Report progress and updates on a weekly basis

* Attend Stakeholder Engagement Working Group and expedite actions arising

* Provide input to the development of tenders as required

Skills & Experience

* Experience of working with bids, tenders & contracts in the construction/engineering industry

* Proven track record of building relationships with external and internal stake holders

* High attention to detail with a right first time ethos

* Motivated, organised and diligent

* Full clean driving licence

* Flexibility to travel to multiple site locations with overnight stays
