Contract Stress Analyst

A globally renowned Formula 1 brand are seeking the services of a top level Stress Analyst on a Ltd company contract basis to assist them in vital design development projects in preparation for next years racing season .
Working with the team up until the end of this year, and potentially beyond, the successful candidate will be responsible for conducting analyses of both composite and metallic structures for use in next years racing model. As well as supplying their expertise in the form of suitable and robust recommendations regarding the manufacturing of finalised parts, this individual will also be responsible for signing off on designs for use during the 2020 racing season.
In order to be considered, candidates must be well versed in conducting analyses using classical hand calculation and finite element methods and have experience of using Abacus to analyse composite and metallic structures within a Formula 1 or high end motorsport engineering environment. It would be advantageous to have experience in any of the following: ANSA, Laminate Tools, Siemens NX or Optistruct.
This opportunity is based in Milton Keynes and is commutable from Bedford, Cranfield, Northampton, Dunstable, Luton, Brackley, Wellingborough, Banbury, Leighton Buzzard, Aylesbury, Towcester, and other locations within the Bedfordshire and Oxfordshire regions.
