Application Support Analyst

Application Support Analyst - £38,000, Kings Hill, West Malling, Kent. My client, a large not for profit financial services company are looking for an Application Support Analyst to join an expanding team. You will be a motivated, adaptable and diligent Application Support Analyst, capable of working within a team of dedicated support professionals as well as within a much larger, wider IT department. You will be expected to assist the Lead Application Support Analyst with the effective and timely delivery of Application Support services, and will work in close collaboration with other support teams, as well as managed delivery streams to provide services supporting the company’s strategy and to deliver those services within the required SLA’s.

This challenging and exciting role primarily provides second and third line support for all company production systems across a wide range of platforms and technologies in line with agreed processes and procedures. Incident Management and Problem Management are key aspects of the role and will involve the use of available tools to investigate, diagnose and, in conjunction with the other support teams within IT to propose the most appropriate solution to restore service and identify the root cause and prevention of repeat incidents. This role is also responsible for day to day ticket management within the Application Support queue; handling both Incidents and Service Requests and is key to achieving the associated set of KPI’s.

This is a technical role whereby you will be expected to resolve issues yourself as well as with other members of the team. It is ideally suited to a person who relishes a challenge and enjoys the reward of delivering a first class service to both internal and external customers within an IT Service Delivery environment.

Essential Skills:

* Strong SQL knowledge

* Experience of liaising with 3rd party suppliers

* Experience of the full ITIL Service Delivery Life Cycle.

* Excellent communication skills

* Good problem management abilities

* Experience of financial systems

* High energy level and ability to drive all types of requests/incidents through to completion

As an Application Support Analyst with this company you will be rewarded with a basic salary of between £35,000 - £38,000 depending on experience, and will be entitled to a wide range of excellent benefits.
