Service Manager - Doors and Gates

A growing automated door and gate company are currently looking for a service manager to manage a huge team of engineers who cover a huge territory across the UK. This is a great opportunity and a very good package, offering a salary of up to £40K + bonus, phone, laptop and more.

To be considered for this Service Manager role you must have:

* Knowledge of organisational effectiveness and operations management

* A technical background; ideally an ex automatic door/gate engineer

* Must be able to influence and lead a team

* Excellent communication skills

* Experience of managing people

* Familiarity with business and financial principles

Service Manager Responsibilities:

* Plan all installations/services/call-outs and schedule labour to achieve most cost-effective utilisation in conjunction with sales team’s requirements

* Ensure full and ongoing communication with sales teams, customers and engineers to advise all parties of original schedule and any changes

* Monitor call-outs and organise so as to minimise revenue disruption on core planned works

* Manage the on-call rota, monitor call-out phone calls to ensure staff compliance

* Provide ongoing career development support and assessment to all engineers

* Monitor staff levels to make sure we can meet the needs of our customers and sales teams

* Attend monthly senior management meetings to report on overall operations of the business
