What You Will Do
As an Associate with St. Vincent Health-IN, you will have the opportunity to coordinate comprehensive plan of care for families.
What you will do:
Provide training, education, and demonstration to families in the areas of parenting skills including infant and child development; safety; communication and discipline; health and nutrition; family budget; life skills and household organization; time management and stress management.
Assists family in obtaining services (e.g. physical and mental health, education and occupational training, housing and public assistance.
Documents all interactions and services provided to families into a secure computer data system.
Meets with supervisor to discuss family progress and interventions, any irregularities in client's living conditions/environment or changes in family situation.
Plans content of home visit.
What You Will Need
- Diploma High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
Bachelor's degree in social work, early childhood education or related field highly preferred.
Registration, Certification and/or Licensure Required:
BLS certification with 90 days of entering this position
Valid Indiana driver's license
Negative Indiana criminal history check, national sex offender check, and fingerprinting check
Negative Child Abuse and Neglect checkWork Experience:
2-year experience in child care, education, social work or community services related field required.
1-year Healthy Families Support Specialist or Family Resource Specialist experience preferred
Ability to read, write and speak Spanish preferred
