The company are going from strength to strength with key clients expanding orders as well as an increase of work coming from different market sectors. The addition of a Design Engineer to the team adds to the organic growth from the last couple of years, with future expansion in the pipeline planned over the next three years.
The successful Design Engineer will be:
Mechanical design of the full range of machines, automated equipment and other products, using Solidworks programmes.
Day to day will include a variety of plant layout, conceptual design, general assembly designs and manufacturing drawings.
To attend project/planning meetings, discuss the ongoing projects and challenges faced, along with providing possible solutions.
Multi project working, ensuring they are meeting deadlines.
Being comfortable to meet clients in UK when required.
Offer cost effective and creative design solutions to the manufacturability of the equipment.
To provide practical and cost effective solutions to design change and modification for individual order requirements.
To offer a forward thinking and self-motivated approach.
Due to the nature of the role, the successful Design Engineer will have:
Mechanical engineering qualification – Ideally at HNC level
Hydraulic and Pneumatic exposure
A proven track record with an engineering design role – ideally special purpose machinery
The desire to go above and beyond, whilst maintaining the company’s high standards
The company appreciate that moving to a new role can be a daunting process, therefore there is an in-depth 4 week induction to help with the transition. Training is of the upmost importance from day 1, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to visit the European HQ during this training. As the company continues to evolve, senior management are keen to develop those who wish to develop into roles with further responsibility. The company are keen on aiding personal development and education by allowing sponsorship for technical qualifications.
