The Lean Innovation Champion will drive improvement in Mortenson's Business Services Groups (HR, Finance, Information Technology Systems (ITS), Risk Management, Legal, etc.) This position will also have overall responsibility for our Business Process Management (BPM) initiative, and will have the ability to shape and advance the way we do business.
Responsibilities: Partner with Business Service Group leaders to define performance indicators, diagnose opportunities, and define improvements to the Groups' operations.Facilitate execution of these improvements by developing formal charters and measurement plans, maintaining leadership alignment, understanding and engaging stakeholders, organizing and advising on required initiative resources and participants, planning, organizing and facilitating improvement activities, developing and executing organizational change management plans, and effectively implementing new processes and solutions.Lead through influence and personal relationships to generate and maintain momentum on improvement initiatives through sustainable implementation of the desired future state.Partner with Information Technology specialists to understand how technology solutions can support business process improvement and collaborate to select the right solutions to address the improvement opportunity.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.Minimum 5 years of work experience.Experience as an internal or external continuous improvement resource or consultant working in the business services environment.Experience, coursework or certification in Lean, Six Sigma, Project Management (e.g. PMP), or Operational Excellence is preferred.Experience developing an improvement agenda, and defining, planning and executing specific improvement initiatives.Experience as an internal consultant, coach, facilitator and driver of improvements.
