Peraton is seeking a mission systems specialist to support the United States Air Force Space Command (AFSPC). Mission systems specialist will provide expertise to verify completion of cyberspace operations orders from 24AF (AFCYBER). Mission systems specialist will develop and execute strategic goals to refine and improve the defense and mission capability AFPSC's cyberspace assets supporting space mission systems.

What you'll do...
  • Support routine/emergency cyberspace protection team requests.
  • Achieve ATO within schedule(s).
  • Verify network and system cyberspace defense elements are identified, tracked, and resolved via coordination with special program and project management offices.
  • Recommend and assist with improvement, streamline, and correction of existing processes and implementation procedures.
  • Provide strategic concepts, methods, and direction to customer in support of CSSP activities.
  • Prepare and provide reports, briefings, and informational analyses.
  • Track task completion for subordinate units; respond to subordinate units for assistance with task completion.
  • Coordinate with USSTRATCOM, USCYBERCOM, AFSPC, 624 OC (AFCYBER), and subordinate units to clarify, deconflict, and track tasks required to conduct cyberspace operations on space mission systems.
  • Adhere to customer policies, master plans, and schedules; develop program solutions.
  • Perform records management of sustainment related deliverables and documentation.
  • Possess strong analytical and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Provide excellent customer support, as well as leadership, mentoring, and quality assurance for team members.
  • Communicate effectively and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Negotiate complex issues and write comprehensive studies.
  • Participate in customer exercises (after duty hours as required).
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office, IBM Analyst Notebook, and message distribution/retrieval programs.

You'd be a great fit if...
  • BS/BA or equivalent experience; four years of direct experience.
  • CSSP Incident Responder; CSSP Analyst; DOD 8570.01-M for IAM Level-II.
  • You have a current TS/SCI security clearance and maintain the clearance.
