As the Director you will manage daily operations of the department in collaboration with your OR Leadership Team to include an OR Supervisor and two Clinical Coordinators, and assist the Executive Director of Surgical and Women's and Children's Services in planning and implementing nursing policies, procedures, and services for the department. You will work with your Team to hire and orient new staff, partnering with HR and Organizational Development to ensure staff has current licensure, certifications, and other annual training. You will work with your OR Leadership Team and provide career growth and educational opportunities, strong mentorship, and a culture that supports engagement. You will work hand-in-hand with other leaders, physicians, and other key partners to implement best practices, research new techniques and technology, and move the organization forward. You will have the opportunity to take pride in being a part of a healthy, growing, and high functioning organization. Some of the core focuses of this role include; working with the team to transition from Meditech to Epic in the coming 24 months, developing internal and external relationships with key partners to ensure positive, effective collaborations, and continually supporting your team to develop their passions and provide optimal care to patients. To be successful in this role, you will need: BSN or higher required. State of Idaho Registered Nurse or licensure pending as documented by temporary licensure OR current RN licensure from a state participating in the "multistate privilege to practice" compact with Idaho required or Licensed Pharmacist in Idaho or eligible for Idaho Licensure. 5 years' experience in healthcare management preferred.
Hospital experience desired. Deep and extensive understanding of clinical operations and the related functions of administration and the service lines. Demonstrated business acumen and management skills associated with budgeting, program development, planning, and execution. Knowledge of negotiations and change management. Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements.
