A Wedding Gift Registry Customer Service Representative will be the first point of contact for our customers. They will actively listen to the customer's inquiries and take action to own and resolve the problem. Some weekends required.

Benefits include a weekly base pay plus opportunity to earn a quarterly company incentive. Additional opportunity to earn $1 per hour premium pay for all hours worked on the weekends and after 6pm on weekdays. 20% discount on most Macy s merchandise.

Job Overview:

Responsible for assessing customers needs and ensuring the prompt resolution of inbound Wedding and Gift Registry telephone calls; assisting with Live Chat and email communication as needed; performing other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:

Respond to Customer Service phone inquiries from Registrants.

Assist with Registrant inquiries via phone, chat, and email as needed.

Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.


High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

One to three months of related experience and/or training preferred.
Communication Skills:

Excellent communication skills;

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals;

Write routine reports and correspondence;

Speak effectively before groups of customers and employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages;

Apply concepts of basic algebra.
Reasoning Ability:

Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram form; solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands:

Regularly required to talk and hear; frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, and feel;

Occasionally required to sit, and reach with hands and arms; requires close vision.
Other Skills:

Ability to provide outstanding customer service to external and internal customers on a consistent basis;

Ability to take control of and resolve customer issues utilizing active listening skills;

Ability to adapt quickly to changing customer expectations and needs;

Ability to be a self-starter who is comfortable taking the initiative;

Strong decision-making abilities;

Strong analytical skills;

Ability to navigate multiple computer applications and work from a dual monitor setup;

Ability to complete financial transactions accurately and proficiently.
