The Maintenance Associate is tasked with installing, adjusting, maintaining, and repairing production machines and equipment as well as performing tasks for the maintenance and improvement of the facility.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators in order to diagnose equipment problems
  • Repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment
  • Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove, inspect, and replace or repair components
  • Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform preventive maintenance tasks on production machines/equipment
  • Maintain repair and maintenance records
  • Study blueprints and manufacturers' manuals to determine correct installation and operation of machinery
  • Record parts and materials used, and order or request new parts and materials as necessary
  • Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators
  • Enter codes and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned (includes all non-essential or non-major activities)

While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 33 pounds, lift in excess of 33 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.

Minimum Level of Education & Training Required

  • High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent
  • 2 years' industrial or similar maintenance experience


  • Industrial Maintenance Degree

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Must be able to work safely and maintain a safe work area
  • Must be familiar with and have the ability to safely and correctly operate hand tools
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to understand and follow established PM tasks and schedules
  • Ability to work either independently or with a team
  • Ability to correctly and safely use a voltmeter and other testing/diagnostic tools
