Position Description

Security Monitoring Centres (SMC) is now looking to recruit a Desk Based Account Manager to be based at our Monitoring Centre in Nottingham. This is a full time, office based position.

The Desk Based Account Manager will be responsible for actively generating leads and opportunities by engaging in proactive telephone conversations and web campaigns interacting with both new prospects and existing accounts.

Responsibilities:

Generate quotations, new business proposals and focusing on generating new and organic sales from existing and prospective calls - both outbound and inbound
Tele-canvass follow up call on outstanding quotations to win the business
Promote product and marketplace awareness, providing advice on SMC Custodian and Vision products and services, seeking new avenues and opportunities.
Work with the UKSM on bespoke promotional requirements on larger opportunities
Provide exceptional customer service via the telephone and email or letter and other correspondence
Maintain existing and build new customer relationships, completing CRM databases accordingly
Resolving queries and representing the customer in their dealings with SMC Custodian and Vision
Compile management reports in line with department requirements and timescales

Required Experience

Be able to build and develop relationships with customers
Be able to report back to management in a variety of formats, keeping records and documentation up to date and accurate.
Excellent organisation and communication skills

The role holder must have a keen eye for detail and also be able to report back to management in a variety of formats, keeping records and documentation up to date and accurate. This position would ideally suit a Customer Service/ Account Management professional who is looking to move into a sales orientated position as there is potential for career progression in that field.
