Based in Bridgwater this company specialise in the manufacture of products that are supplied into the food industries.
They have recently moved into a purpose built manufacturing facility and expect to have further expansion in the coming years.
In this role you will be responsible for ensuring all materials, packaging and ingredients are on hand or on order to meet the production plan and ultimately meet the customer requirements.
You will also be responsible for determining the production plan for both short and long-term scenarios, ensuring the schedule is working in the most efficient way possible to suit this company and their customers.
The ideal candidate will have experience in planning production, ERP experience and procurement/ purchasing.

*Lead weekly production meetings with Department team leaders and Managers
*Improve and create internal systems for planning during the period before new ERP system implementation
*Assist the Director of Operations with the implementation of our new ERP system
*Manage key stakeholder relationships across supply chain and production/operations to maximise efficient utilisation of both resource and capacity
*Develop and improve the plans through effective use of the ERP system
*Minimise changes to the plan through strategic planning
*Monitor and advise on any issues which present risk or opportunity
*Monitor and manage stock levels for all raw materials and packaging
*Place purchase orders with suppliers and expedite their progress
*Ensure relevant communication with other departments (Directors, Managers, Production and Quality) on supply problems, changes which may impact on operations and ability to meet customers’ requirements
*Prepare and provide reports and updates for the Directors regarding productivity
*Have experience planning production within a manufacturing company.
*Have knowledge of ERP systems.
*Have experience in purchasing and procurement.
