Our client who are one of the world's leading independent assurance, tax and advisory firms, are driven by independent thinkers that provide high quality business and financial advice to a wide range of clients in countries all over the world, are looking to Recruit a Payroll & Payments Administrator.

As the Payroll & Payments Administrator you'll be working within the Payroll team to ensure all electronic bank payments and payroll output are transmitted on time. The core role will require setting up over 140 electronic bank payments each month and planning multiple Partner and Director diaries to ensure all client payroll payments are made accurately and on time. The Payroll Administrator part of the role will require all new clients to be set up and contracts prepared, payroll output to be sent out on time plus any ad hoc administration work that may arise.

Main responsibilities:

Preparing and ensuring BACS and Barclays.Net payments are transmitted on time in accordance with deadlines on the Master database

Ensuring all payroll output is sent accurately and on time (letters, hard copy payslips, payment after leaving letters, pension auto-enrolment letters, P45s and online payslips)

Filing FPS return

Taking responsibility for new client take on procedures

Composing engagement letters

Composing inter-office agreements with other Grant Thornton offices

Keeping Inter-Action updated

Research in advance of meetings

Assistance with proposal documents

Ad-hoc support for the payroll team

Filing and archiving

Experience/Education/Qualifications required:

Methodical and Accurate

Able to work on their own

Attention to detail

Able to communicate effectively at all levels

MS office – Word and Excel in particular ( minimum requirement )

Preferable experience with Access Pay software and Barclays.Net
