Recruitment Hunters are recruiting for a Part-Time Payroll Advisor to work for a market leading Accountancy Practice (Bureau) in Banbury, Oxfordshire.

This new Part-Time Payroll position in Oxfordshire requires an experienced Payroll professional to work on a part-time basis on a 25 hour week.

Main Responsibilities: - Part-Time Payroll

Purpose of the Role: To provide a high-quality payroll service to clients

Responsibilities:

* Prepare clients weekly, fortnightly, monthly, quarterly and annual PAYE in a consistently timely and accurate manner

* Liaise with H.M. Revenue & Customs for PAYE queries

* Respond to other client requirement needs linked to employment and other issues

* Follow internal procedures and processes to maximise the profitability and efficiency of individual assignments

* Escalate issues to manager where appropriate considering that prompt resolution of queries is a high priority.

* Conform to RTI regulations in terms of online submittal of FPS and EPS in conjunction with clients

* Involvement with Auto-enrolment as and where appropriate, incorporating discussions with internal wealth planning teams

* Electronic filing using Payroll software and HMRC website

* Forward client mail connected with PAYE

* Assist in the processing of BACS payments through the CreDec system.

* To Monitor the capability of submitting any returns electronically

* Identify points for a partner to raise with clients and to raise the potential for additional services

* Record own chargeable time and ensure maximum recovery

* Monitor own job quality and quantity in line with agreed budgets

* Monitor own job quality and quantity in line with agreed budgets

* Attend relevant training courses and develop your skills to ensure up to date knowledge and best practice a further enhancement of the team

* Assist team members to ensure a balanced workload across the team, especially in tie of absence and cover for holidays where required

Experience Required:- Part-Time Payroll

Critical Skills Required:

* Fully computer literate, including excellent Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

* Understanding of in house systems such as IRIS Payroll, CreDec and Xero, also other accounts and in house systems

* Excellent telephone manner with good interpersonal and communication skills

* Ability to work on your own or in a team

* Ability to work under pressure and prioritise work effective and efficiently

* Flexible attitude to work patterns

* Excellent organisation and administrative skills

* Accurate data inputting skills and eye for detail

* Ability to use initiative in terms of decision making

* Excellent problem resolutions skills and ideas generation ability

Critical Knowledge Required:

* In depth Payroll knowledge including statutory rates, year-end procedures and specialist payrolls such as directors payroll etc.

* Knowledge of payroll systems essentially STAR and Xero Payroll and their uses and benefits

Qualifications Required

Payroll qualification or equivalent experience

Experience Required

Minimum 2 years’ experience with primary responsibility for payroll administration and processing. Experience working with time and attendance, payroll and HMRC systems.

This Part-Time Payroll Advisor role is based in Central Banbury. The position will be paying £26,000 Pro-Rata and will be working 25 hours per week.
