Role: M&E Supervisor

Location: Middlesex

Salary: £40,000 Per Annum

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8AM – 5PM

The Role:

The M&E Manager role is a prominent position on this contract, acting as the primacy contact for day-to-day co-ordination and completion of all planned and reactive tasks covered under the contract. This role is an important interface with the client, liaising with key stakeholders to ensure that relevant equipment and systems remain compliant, safe and affordable whilst working within the contract KPIs. The post holder will manage a team of engineers, and have functional authority over the contract support. The holder of this role will actively carry out all aspects of the planning, scheduling, co-ordination, completion and supervising of relevant activity, including that of sub-contractors acting on behalf of the maintenance provider and the client.

Duties to include:

• Accountable to the Operations Manager

• Responsible for management, supervision and conduct of the shift and fabric teams within the contract. More specifically:

o To oversee the safe and timely completion of all site planned and reactive service delivery tasks.

o To ensure the CAFM system is correctly scheduled, populated and administered.

o To act as direct line manager to all technical staff on the contract.

o To organise and co-ordinate maintenance staff and visiting sub-contractors for related tasks within scope.

o To set and enforce good engineering and working practices within the teams and that of all relevant sub-contractors.

o To ensure the correct QHSE standards are being adhered to as per company policy and law our statutory duties.

o To ensure relevant RAMS and maintenance activities remain compliant and fit for purpose.

o To organise quotes and liaise with sub-contractors and suppliers for materials and services.

o To liaise with client staff to determine requirements and to promote continuous improvement works and project related activity.

o To ensure safe and affordable practices from all involved in related tasks.

o To contribute to the maintenance and improvement of site engineering and safety standards, commensurate with company QHSE policies and practices.

o To represent provider at site (and off site) forums as appropriate and as directed by the Contract Manager.

o To stand in for the Contract Manager as appropriate.

o Duty Manager responsibilities for the client.

Knowledge on the following is required:

• Experienced in the supervision and management of maintenance teams.

• Experienced in co-ordination and supervision of fault finding, diagnostics and rectification activities as part of a planned and reactive maintenance service.

• Experienced in the use of BMS systems to aid M&E operation and maintenance, including trending, reporting and alarm interrogation.

• Experience with computer Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) building management systems (Concept or similar).

• Experience in the Electrical aspects of general building PPM schedules.

• Experience in the Electrical aspects of general building PPM schedules.

• Experienced in the direct supervision and oversight of safe systems of work, i.e. LOTO, Permit to Work, etc.

Candidate Specification/Requirements:

• Technically qualified at HND/HNC or City & Guilds level in relevant mechanical and/or electrical disciplines.

• Demonstrable broad knowledge of building services systems via recognised certification (NVQ/C&G,etc).

• Health and Safety Training and understanding of H&S Legislation.

• IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.

• Qualified at ILM level 2 or above.

• Ability to interface with people including customer staff at all levels

Desirable:

• City & Guilds Part 3 (Electrical Installation 2360) or recognised equivalent.

• Experience with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS).

• Experienced in electrical installation work, plus electrical testing and inspection.

• Experienced in High Voltage switching (AP15).

• L8 awareness and practical knowledge of the L8 ACOP.

• P&L management.

• Full UK driving licence.
