EXCLUSIVE ROLE – Operations and Credit Risk Manager

Hayward Hawk have been exclusively retained by tech-enabled telecoms start-up to source an Operations and Credit Risk Manager. My Client's vision is to transform the consumer mobile market by offering customers a new level of flexibility in terms of contracts and pricing alongside great customer experience. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Operations and Credit Risk professional with a strong background in consumer finance to join a dynamic and forward thinking business.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in helping the business achieve impressive growth plans over the next 3 years. Whilst the role requires a very hands on approach in early stages it offers a great opportunity to carve out a senior role in a rapidly expanding business.

The Role

Reporting to the VP of Operations, you will shape and lead credit operations and customer service

Underwriting, referrals, fraud, collections and customer service

Operational management and oversight of credit policies

SLA management and quality assurance

Weekly and monthly MI and compliance reporting

Management and oversight of the customer complaints process

Help define credit and customer service policies and procedures for full launch

Help define and implement the operational risk framework, ensuring adequate controls are in place against key risks (including AML and fraud prevention)

Development and training of the Customer Operations team within a regulated environment. The Person

Extensive operations experience in consumer finance businesses providing point of sale finance, unsecured personal loans, credit cards or auto finance.

Exposure to the full consumer credit lifecycle, including customer acquisition and underwriting, fraud, account management, customer retention, collections and recoveries.

Strong focus on customer experience, service and treating customers fairly.

Experience of UK consumer credit regulations.

Experience of using Credit Rating Agencies and other consumer credit service providers.

Knowledge of fraud, credit risk management and audit procedures.

Experience of using fraud detection and reporting systems particularly CIFAS.

Strong project management skills to deliver efficient processes and continuous improvement.

Ability to deliver clear and accurate reporting of a complex credit operation.
