Your new role
As a field-based Refrigeration Engineer you will cover Sainsburys’ stores in and around the Peterborough area. The purpose of the role will be to carry out planned and reactive refrigeration maintenance tasks safely, and to the highest standard. You will proactively diagnose and identify faults and failures with equipment and pack systems to provide effective solutions. Together with the rest of our field team you’ll be responsible for helping our customer ensure their stores are trading to full capacity.
This is a pivotal role in our Engineering Division where you will play a key part and in our ongoing growth and success.
What you’ll be responsible for
* Delivering PPM schedules within agreed timeframes and to budget
* Effectively diagnose and identify faults and failures with equipment and systems and provide effective solutions and escalate where necessary.
* Help drive performance improvements in customer service, operational services and productivity, asset uptime and first-time fix.
* Carry out planned and reactive refrigeration maintenance tasks safely, and to the highest standard.
This will involve working 45hrs per week and working on call for 1 in 4 weeks and one Saturday in four.
To be successful in this role you will have
* C&G 2079 F-Gas qualification
* Full UK driving license
* Significant experience ideally gained in the retail environment
* Excellent communication skills, ability to influence and use diplomacy with clients and colleagues
* Ability to supervise engineers in a pressurised environment dealing with store teams and members of the public
* Ability to provide technical support achieving efficient solutions to problematic issues - where necessary supporting the major incident process
