SALARY: Competitive Salary £25 – £35,000.00 depending on experience + 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.

Our client is an organisation that provides a range of services to other companies. Principal among these is software development where the company is responsible for creating and maintaining a number of critical, lines of business, applications used by prestigious clients around the globe.
A superb opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance / Office Manager to join the growing business, based near Meadowhall, Sheffield.
This is an exciting position for an enthusiastic, organised person who can hit the ground running from day one. Responsibilities include assisting with the administration of the finance, HR and facilities of the business on a day-to-day basis along with the careful operation of the companies’ bookkeeping including monthly management accounts, quarterly VAT returns, PAYE and managing cash flows.
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES (Not limited to)
Manage all financial transactions up to trial balance – including operational accruals and pre-payments, and control account reconciliations.
Raise sales and processing supplier invoices including credits, receipts and payments with external and inter-group businesses.
Send out purchase order requests to clients.
Complete VAT returns on a timely basis (preferably with MTD experience).
Perform credit control in a proactive and appropriate manner.
Process staff expenses.
Process small monthly payroll.
Monitor company bank statements on a frequent basis and perform weekly and monthly bank and petty cash reconciliations.
Deal with customer and supplier account queries.
Produce cash flow forecasts and assisting with group-wide cash flow management.
Assist in the production of monthly financial reports.
Assist in the development and maintenance of business forecast models for the trading businesses.
Year-end preparation for submission to accountants and dealing with questions arising.
Liaise with external accountants.
Administration of company vehicles.
Manage office supplies and equipment orders.
Negotiate contracts, including insurance renewals.
Management of operational hours/staff holidays/planned absences/sick leave.
Support staff recruitment activities in conjunction with other managers and/or directors.
Support staff review and retention activities to ensure the whole company follows agreed practices and procedures.
Administration of compliance with various company policies.
Participate fully as a member of the Operational Management Team.
Reliable with excellent communication skills both over the phone and face to face.
You will have the ability to cover a varied workload showing a ‘can do’ attitude as well as having precise attention to detail.
You will be a positive, self-motivated person and a real team player. Your computer skills will be excellent and include solid accounting system (QuickBooks/Sage Accounts) experience, Excel, Word and Outlook. Previous employment within the IT sector would be an advantage.
Solid understanding of bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, and cash flow principles (AAT qualified or above).
Proven bookkeeping/accounting experience (5years+).
Proven ability to calculate post and manage financial figures.
Hands-on experience with complex spreadsheets.
Happy to work in a self-directed and dynamic environment, drawing on the experience and knowledge of colleagues as/when required.
