We have a new and exciting roles for Junior Account Managers to join our Business Development Team here at Microlise. You’ll be driven, ambitious and striving for a successful career in account management. We’re looking for someone who has a strong commercial understanding and is a competitive self-starter with an enthusiasm to develop within Microlise.

This role will be home based and we are ideally looking for candidates in the Bells Hill or Broxburn areas, on average this role will be home and customer based, you will be expected to come to Microlise in Nottingham at least once a month after training/ probation, during training and probation this will be higher to support your learning.

Ideally we are looking for someone with sales experience within hardware, software and or IT, but if you come with the right attitude and determination we would be willing to provide training to the successful candidate. In this role there is a clear progression opportunity with training, nurturing and support progress to a fully fledge Account Manager.

Key duties

Achievement of individual and team based targets in terms of profitability on a quarter-by-quarter basis.

Responsible for the conversion of sales leads into profitable business, ensuring both revenue and profit margin is maximised.

Undertake an average of three face to face meetings with customers per week plus additional sales calls

Responsibility for ensuring that Microlise is invited to bid for all work opportunities in areas where Microlise has competency, within existing accounts.

Manage a number of existing accounts to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and ensure the business maximises its opportunity to cross sell/ upsell at all times.

To undertake sales briefings, seminars and other events to assist with pipeline development.

Responsibility for conveying expert advice to business prospects, in all areas of Product Portfolio.

Responsibility for learning and upkeep of personal professional development ensuring knowledge of key business areas and technical developments. This will include knowledge and evaluation of sales techniques used in the transport, supply chain and mobile solutions arenas.

Provision of timely and clear quotations and proposals to customers

To use company price book and sales collateral effectively and accurately.

Essential

Strong commercial knowledge of a variety of sectors including transport, logistics, retail, automotive and distribution market place.

Aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions solve business problems

Excellent communication and negotiation skills both internal and external building trust and relationships quickly

Ability to work using own initiative with minimal supervision

Well organised with ability to prioritise appropriately

Ability to travel across the UK and internationally as and when the business requires and a full driving license

Ideally a proven track record in hardware, software and IT sales.
