Service Delivery Manager

Central London

£55,000 per annum

The Opportunity: Working for a leading software-based IT service provider based in central London. As a service delivery manager you will help shape the commercial success of the current and future projects. Focussing on high quality service to end users you will manage the processes and policies to meet business needs. You will be in charge of analysts, Architects, Developers, Testers, Product Managers and Sales Staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong and diverse management background.

Skills and Experience:

* Previous experience working as part of a team to ensure that requirements are fully understood and that the design/implementation meets the customer’s needs

* Scheduling, monitoring and reviewing software installation and deployment, configuration and customization

* ITIL certification (and any related-industry qualifications) would be useful

* Strong Team Leading experience in leading virtual teams (remote management)

* Experience of managing 3rd parities including 3rd party delivery services into a live environment

* Wiliness to support and mentor junior staff as and when required

* Previous experience working in the Financial Services sector would be a bonus

Role and Responsibility:

* Provide improvements to service delivery and efficiency when required

* Lead a service delivery team fielding and resolving support inquiries from customers, engaging the wider engineering team as required

* Own the escalation process and serve as initial escalation point.

* Own our incident response process, ensuring coordination of resolving parties, effective communication to stakeholders and post incident review

* Work directly with developers, product owners and project managers to ensure that customer issues are resolved as expediently as possible

* Ensure the release documentation is completed; this includes release notes, quick start guides, user guides and training packs

* Oversee the publishing of online help centre content, working to improve the customer self-help experience
