Injection Moulding Shift Setter/Team Leader

The shift will be a 3 week rotating shift.
Week 1; 6am – 4pm, Week 2; 2pm – 12am, Week 3, 9.30 – 6am.
As part of the Operations and Technical team you will be required to conduct tool changes, trouble shoot and drive process optimization, including involvement in robot programming and automation. You will report directly to the Operations Manager, but also with some responsibility to the Technical Manager, on all aspects related to plant and tool set up, development and maintenance. The other areas of responsibility are to lead a small shift team of operators. The role requires taking full responsibility for the factory operations including health and safety outside 9-5 work hours. In addition the job will also involve trialing tools, products, assemblies and materials, setting up ancillary, assembly and lifting equipment as required, maintenance and inspection of plant and mould tooling including communicating with toolmakers and other suppliers.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of setting up Injection Moulding machines/tools and experience with tool and process trialing and optimisation. You will also have experience of Leading and working within a busy shop floor and will have knowledge of robotics and plant automation within the sector. Experience of a wide range of plastic materials and their processing will be essential.
Ideally you will have knowledge of a range of Injection Moulding machines with integrated robots and fine tolerance tooling. Furthermore experience of operating in a demanding quality environment (ISO 9001/14001/PPAP/6 Sigma/5s/Lean etc) is essential.
You will be self-motivated with the ability to work and lead effectively in a team. Good communication skills with experience of talking to groups are essential. Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word/Excel/Powerpoint would be advantageous along with some ability to understand product and plant engineering drawings.

a relevant technical qualification
a team leading qualification
Quality improvement qualifications ie Lean
a clean driving license
the ability to travel UK and overseas if required from time to time
Salary will be c£30-36k doe per annum paid monthly.
Holidays 33 days per annum inc. bank and public holidays
