John Crane is seeking an experienced Area Sales Engineer to join the company on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be based around the central belt in the Midlands.

The role will be responsible for developing year on year Regional Sales in order to exceed and deliver on targets, through sustained and profitable growth.

Responsibilities:

* Retain & grow existing business accounts in the allocated catchments areas too agreed targets.

* To work in broad terms as a member regional sales team promoting J.C products using agreed strategies and tactics.

* To proactively promote the full range of John Crane products and services.

* To develop strong customer relationships therefore building a barrier against competition.

* To ensure all company equipment, cars, mobile phones, laptops etc. are kept in good condition and immediately report a fault or damage to the sales manager.

* To prospect and open new accounts.

Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Engineering qualification minimum to NVQ level 3.

* Sales experience within an engineering background.

* Rotational equipment experience highly advantageous.

* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to talk clearly and convincingly.

* Good standard of presenting / communicating technically and commercially with existing and prospective customers.

* Able to learn quickly and to pass on knowledge to colleagues.
