ISS provides facilities management; cleaning & hygiene services; maintenance and building services; catering; security; landscaping and a wide range of other tailor-made services including specialist Water Risk Assessments for customers throughout the Public, Private and specialist sectors.

Job Purpose:

* To undertake legionella risk assessments to a high standard in line with the latest version of the Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L8 (Fourth edition), the requirements of HSG 274 and BS 8580, and its associated guidance documents.

* To act as the point of water technical support in their respective region, supporting both the wider delivery team and clients as required in understanding their responsibilities.

* Attend risk assessment review meetings with Clients as required, or where necessary.

* Ensure that Legionella Risk Assessments paperwork and associated reports are completed correctly and returned within agreed timescales.

* Supporting the project team in the professional identification and quotation of required remedial work.

* The emphasis is on providing a world class building services maintenance service.

Key Responsibilities:

* Act as a representative of ISS Water carrying out work as detailed by the Risk Assessment Team Leader.

* Conduct yourself in a professional manner in support of our customers and work colleagues.

* To ensure all works are delivered on time and to the agreed specification.

* To support business growth and retain existing customers through demonstrating e a level of professionalism commensurate with the role.

* Complete reports and paperwork in a timely manner as instructed by the Risk Assessment Manager Team Leader.

* responsibility for Take your own training needs and bring them to the attention of the Risk Assessment Manager or supervisor.

* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, specific company requirements approved by the Health & Safety Executive and the latest regulations and codes of good practice.

* Support the delivery of specialist water hygiene works when required such as, but not limited to. the inspection of tanks and any related water hygiene remedial works.



* City & Guilds BS04 Risk Assessment course.

* Knowledge of the Health Technical Memorandum 04-01: The control of Legionella, hygiene, “safe” hot water, cold water and drinking water systems.

* Understanding and able to demonstrate knowledge of HSG 274 and BS8580.


* Suitable and sufficient experience working within the water treatment industry, proving technical service and Water Risk Assessments.

* Health and safety management.

Commercial awareness in the identification or remedial work requirements.

* Able to work as a member of a team.

* Good general IT skills.

* Able to work without direct supervision.

* Physically able to complete required duties.

* Full driving licence.

* Able to deal directly with customers and represent the company in a professional manner.

* Experience of working within FM or building services within commercial properties.

* Experience of working under strict Health & Safety procedures including general risk assessments and method statements
