My client is a growing practice based in Huddersfield, they have a number of successful teams that make up the practice and this continuing growth is due to increased client demand.

For this position —Audit Manager — we are ideally looking for someone who can tick the following boxes:

• Experience supervising a team of Audit staff within Practice.

• ACA/ACCA qualified

• Knowledgeable on cloud based products

• Excellent communication skills and able to communicate at all levels both internally and externally

• Experience of auditing including consolidations, group audits, statutory accounts and disclosures

• Strong organisational skills

• Previous experience managing people

• Up to date with all technical aspects of accounts and audits

Here’s what you can expect from the role:

• Planning and completion of statutory Audit, charity Audit, SRA Audit etc.

• Act as a major point of contact within the firm for the client together with the Partner

• Delegation and review of work completed by team

• Managing overall service delivery to clients

• Managing the Audit staff — including appraisal/mentoring/workload etc

• Offering support to Partners when required

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients at senior levels, being a principal point of contact throughout the year

• Support Partners in the development of new business relationships and business proposals

• Ensure assignments are staffed with the appropriate mix of knowledge and skills required

• Recruit, retain, develop and motivate employees

• Act as a major point of contact within the firm for the client together with the Partner. This includes responding quickly to, as well as anticipating, client requests/needs, keeping clients informed of progress in relation to all aspects of the service provided and maintaining regular contact with clients.
