My client is a multi-site aerospace manufacturer, producing large structural components for aircraft, with customers to include Airbus, Boeing and Gulf-Stream.
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is business process management software that allows an organization to use a system of integrated applications to manage the business and automate many back office functions related to technology, services and human resources.
The ERP team are responsible for supporting all system users to ensure the integrity of the system. The Analyst is the key link between departments and stakeholders to ensure the achievement of this goal through implementation and on-going support of the company system.
Qualifications and Experience:
Educated to degree level, or hold a professional qualification, or relevant business experience
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills e.g. confidently able to create and use pivot tables (essential)
Analytical and problem solving skills
Good business process knowledge; experience in conducting business month and year end processes (desirable)
Knowledge of relational databases
Experience using an ERP system, preferably Syteline (desirable)
Previous experience supporting Paragon/Jobshop/Javelin or a similar MRP system, along with the ability to create/modify Crystal reports
Liaising between Finance, Production and other departments to design specific solutions for end-users of the system;
Continually monitoring and improving the system and procedures involving the use of ERP system, producing document where necessary;
Maintaining key tables and ensuring archiving is routinely performed;
Understanding the specific needs of the Finance and Production departments in order to provide expert advice and training;
Leading the decision making process with regard to new or changing processes;
Creating and designing reports to provide end-users with specific information using Excel/ODBC and SharePoint;
Providing day to day support for the company sites;
Testing and training of the modules in advance of sites going ‘live’;
Maintaining the live, test and development environments of the system;
Escalation of problems with Infor Extreme;
SQL Server database administration;
Management of replication between sites.
Candidates must have strong interpersonal and IT skills, as well as a high attention to detail.
