Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a Machining Training Instructor to join our successful supply teaching team and to work for a training provider in Newcastle full time from September 2019 until February 2020.

The role

The desired Machining Instructor will have a bias towards turning, have industry experience and be able to comfortably operate a Lathe Machine. The position is full time (40 hours per week) and will start in September 2019.

Essential Requirements

Have industry experience operating a Lathe Machine

Be able to commit to working 40 hours per week

Be practical minded

Hold a L3 or above qualification in Machining

Be able to deliver L2 GNVQ to groups of up to 12 students

Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of instructors

Have a passion for teaching with the ability to deliver inspiring lessons.

Desirable Requirements

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)

Be able to deliver other aspects of the course such as Welding (Tig & Mig), Electrical (17th Edition), or Mechanical (Turning/Milling)
