The Role

An exciting opportunity for a talented Account Executive to join our busy Commercial Team.

Applications are invited from committed, reliable and proactive individuals, capable of operating efficiently in a fast paced, dynamic working environment. Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, candidates will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, confident of liaising at all levels both internally and externally, helping to maximise client engagement.

Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail, the Account Executive will play a pivotal role maintaining relationships and developing a number of high profile retail accounts, ensuring expectations and targets are met and monitored as appropriate. Identifying and progressing sales opportunities where possible, candidates will be confident in their approach, maintaining a collaborative, cross functional network to maximise the performance of the business area and unlock new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

 Retailer and internal Barfoots data management and reporting

 Support Commercial Manager on general account administration

 Input into cross functional projects on how to develop our customer business

 Use retailer sales data to drive insights and commercial action to grow sales

 Work with Commercial Manager on how to manage and influence customers along with attending customer visits

 Support the process of negotiation and business development opportunities

 Regular store visits to review product ranges and observe shopper behaviour

 To assist with monitoring, planning and forecasting long and short term sales to provide the business with accurate requirements, to ensure we manage risk and opportunities vs. budget

 To identify and drive sales opportunities and enhance both the customer and Barfoots performance through a proactive approach to business development.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience

 Ideally educated to degree or equivalent level

 Previous FMCG or Food/Produce experience an advantage

 Strong understanding of customer relationship management

 Ability to flourish in a fast paced environment

 Analytical capability

 Commercial Awareness

 High level of numeracy

 Strong interpersonal skills / relationship building

 Excellent communication and presentation skills

 Proficient in the use of MS Office applications, emails and the internet
